Considering it’s been a little over a month since I’ve last updated…….. I think it’s time…
SO, I am no longer in Montreal…. I am currently back at home in Temecula waiting for my visa for la France
But enough of me, bring on the pictures!

He’s no longer with us, this is a picture I took when he fell asleep masturbating……. Tricky, your ungraceful, clumsiest cat ever, faucet drinking, excessive snoring will all be missed dearly……

Our last dinner together that Alex cooked!

So why is there a picture of salt? This salt,
bailene which is french salt as Alex likes to point out, was first bought for $1 at a going out of business Albertson’s at Kingston, AZ. There was still a good 1/4 left when we left…..

My lovely coworkers and boss bought me an amazing sushi lunch (I know, sushi in Montreal, who would have thought?) Which we proceeded to devour!
Before we left Montreal, literally the day before, I helped throw a fundraiser for Neoasie. Even Alex helped out!

I left on that Saturday, Feb 11. After much tears and goodbyes and “Don’t you dare cheat on me while you’re in France or I will kick your ass”
I reached the US/Canada border after one day of driving (where I spent on night in Toronto, which is a Koreatown from LA, but with snow)

Border check!
Then I drove to Berrien Springs to see the Twins and Jean, ms. super mom!

Megan

Their house….. covered in snow…
My two lovely ladies for the roadtrip, Hannah and Bora flew out to chicago to keep me company on the trip back

Having fun in Chicago

HOt tubbing….. with cheap wine!

Some crappy mexican food

Waffle House.. possibly the world’s most perfect restaurant…

Yes, your eyes do not deceive you, that is $3.90 for gas…

The Continental Divide
I must confess, these pictures of the road trip does not do justice to the literal hell we went through in Illinos driving through a mad snow storm. Doing a 30/mph, freaking out everytime big rigs drove past us, we were forced off early in a little town named Mattoon, IL, where the Motel 8 there charged us $90 for a double bed……… Then as we drove to Texas, the weather changes were so marvelous for me, I kept on wondering on how amazing it was to wear flip flops!
Part two coming up….
