Linkin Park

Mood:

SO…….ask me what I did last night.

“Jooree what did you do last night?”

“Well, _____, it involved standing up for hours, beer, and sweat”

“NO way, did you do…..?”

“ha ha yup and it was fucking amazing”

No, I didn’t do that, but I did finally see Linkin Park in concert! After watching an “eh” performance by Story of the Year, an orgasmic inducing concert by Hoobastank, an energetic performance by  POD, the main event finally came on. Two hours of unstoppable Linkin Park. I definetly piddled in my pants.

After that I went home, exhuasted. I”m still exahusted, and I have a 8 page paper to do, BUT I DON’T CARE I SAW DOUG ROBB TAKE HIS SHIRT OFF!

Laguna Beach

Mood:

Mmm….

Don’t you hate the epiphanies that dot throughout your day?

So, I helped my Aunt move out of the house I have known for 18 Christmases and Thanksgivings, and countless of summers. After sobbing like a little girl on the way to the new house, I was so determined not to fall for the new house. However, their new property in Temecula has an amazing view. SO I was a little comforted by the new house, but the sting wasn’t completely taken away.

So after helping packing, unpacking, etc. I took highway 74 to Laguna Beach. Now, this highway is a bitch to take because no one, I mean NOBODY heeds the “slower traffic use turnout” sign. ::SIGH:: So I was stuck for 30 min behind a pickup truck blaring bad Kid Rock music, and a motorcycle/scooter bad hybrid thingy that went SO goddamn slow. THankfully, they both turned off eventually, so I went flying down the mountain, compulsively sucking on tic tacs and lollipops. I finanlly reached Laguna Beach, where I sank onto the sand, and breathed a happy sigh of relief, then a squeal, as the high tide came in, which managed to happily soak my skirt. I then moved to higher ground and read blissfully, until it was time for my church meeting.

The church meeting was not as productive as I thought. Everyone seemed to a. not care or b. go at such a fast pace, passing on everything. Whatevers. I hit the jacuzzi afterwards, where I relaxed with my book once more. Then I hit the pool with Eden and Han. ha ha If you ever need a good laugh, teach Eden how to swim the freestyle. Hee heee Then back to the jacuzzi, where an interesting subject on male’s genitals came up. After that, shower, then 2 hours of “catch phrase”, which ended up waking up everybody in the rental complex. Then I went to bed.

The next day, I woke up early and headed out for the Laguna Beach Art Scene. It was… a bit mundane, as all the art seemed to be the same beach scenes. However I did find some gems.

Richard MacDonald

Very Rodinesque, full of energy and taut motion

Fabian Perez

Very sensual, and full of life…

OH yea, the artist is sexy as hell too

Then came William Debilzan

This was my favorite painting by far. It was so simple and stark, yet it seemed to speak volumes……

Then Sandra Sunnyo Lee, the first good Korean-American woman artist I have seen

And many others…

So, it was a decent weekend overall…and now I”m back home…

SIGH

“Life” is a funny thing…..

Reminds me of art……its all gray, everybody has their own shade to offer, but no real reason

Sigh.

Anyways, update on my “life”

Past saturday I went to my first “first saturday of the month” open house at the Santa Ana artist village. It first started out as a paper, but I’m getting sucked into this art community already. Just walking from studio to studio, looking at the art, talking to the artists and what their inspiration was (whether they were bullshitting or not) it was amazing. It was the most fun I’ve had in a while, the perfect evening, even though the “incident” still got me royally pissed. (i won’t go into details, but it consisted of an empty wine bottle, and “genital warts”) Ended up meeting a couple of people there, which is always good. And people actually talk to you, which is amazing in LA when complete strangers converse. Change of plans: become a art critic!

Then, came the shit filled day of Monday. First of all. work was crap. I must have worked for 7 1/2 straight hours, but I had plenty of wine to keep me from going crazy. Then, driving home, my engine starts to overheat. ::sighs:: Then my mom starts yelling at me on how I should have gotten it fixed earlier, etc etc. If you don’t know me, anytime my mom yells at me, I’m in a pissy ass mood for the rest of the day. ::sighs:: So after crying for an hour on phone with Doug, my dad comes and attemps to fix it, can’t, so I drive home locally from anaheim to my house. (rate: 30/mph, total time: 1 hour UGH)

Tuesday was much better, as I left home. However, some vindictive birds decide to toy with my already fragile emotions and drop me a little present on my book. ::sigh::

And now my aunt is moving out of the house which I basically grew up in….::sighs::

Life doesn’t suck…..but it is hard….

Oh, and I need to move out….I’ve realized I cannot live at home.

SIGH.

I need a bath…and a hug…..(tim?)

Mood: there’s no tired smiley, so I’m just tired and my boobs will not stop aching so yea

You realize that your low has reached a solid low point if you literally prance for joy down the stairs, almost twist your ankle and fall on your face, at the thought of a recoded O.C, Gilmore Girls, Law & Order, and One tree Hill episodes on your TiVo.

Then you know it gets even sadder when you start prancing as you see that they put that hot GAP guy back on. (the one who did the loose fit jeans? its Khaki’s now ladies!)

Anyways, I’ll put in the whole “i’m focusing on school and work” But I just want to be loved, just like everybody else….

PS: Does anybody have the number of the GAP guy?
